At the press conference, Yang Guoliang, deputy director of the Foreign Trade Department of the Ministry of Commerce, pointed out that there is great growth potential for exporting products to domestic market. The domestic market demand is accelerating, providing a domestic market for export industries such as light industry, textiles and clothing, and agricultural products. The promotion of new infrastructure, new urbanization and major projects in various places has brought new opportunities to export industries such as machinery and equipment, electrical and mechanical equipment and precision instruments. The rapid development of new consumption modes such as online sales and live broadcast with goods has also opened up sales channels for foreign trade enterprises directly facing consumer groups.

Yang Guoliang said that in the next step, the Ministry of Commerce will integrate domestic and foreign trade resources, accurately meet domestic consumption demand, set up foreign trade product zones based on various online shopping festivals, and carry out online sales activities. At the same time, make full use of platforms such as Canton Fair and China Processing Trade Products Expo to help foreign trade enterprises expand domestic sales channels.
