The new BMW 3 Series official picture was officially released. The new car has been upgraded to varying degrees in terms of appearance, interior and power. The body form is still available in sedan version and travel version, and the power side has gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrid models. The new car is scheduled to go on sale globally in July 2024, and will be produced at the Munich plant in Germany, the San Luis Potosi plant in Mexico, and the Shenyang Tiexi plant.
The kidney grille and headlights on the front face of the new BMW 3 Series still retain the style after the mid-term renovation. This new model mainly brings a new body color scheme and rim selection. The body color will add Arctic Race Blue metallic (Arctic Race Blue) and Fire Red metallic (Fire Red) color scheme, and the rim will provide a new 19-inch rim, and can choose dark or two-color paint.
According to the previous domestic MIIT announcement of the new 3 Series declaration map, there will also be some detailed adjustments to the appearance of the new car, such as the grille providing horizontal and vertical stripes, white decoration around the grille, and the font of the tail "BMW Brilliance" LOGO will also be changed to the same shape of the new 5 Series.
The interior upgrade will be the focus of the new 3 series, with a new style of three-spoke flat-bottomed steering wheel, air conditioning trends have been adjusted and ambient lights have been added. At the same time, the gear handle, one-button start button and iDrive knob have been replaced with crystal materials, and the texture has been significantly improved. It is worth mentioning that the iDrive 8.5 equipped with the new car will also be equipped with QuickSelect function, adding AR real-life navigation function, and the intelligent voice control function is also richer, further enhancing the car experience.
The new car will offer a variety of power combinations such as gasoline, diesel and plug-in hybrid, among which the gasoline version still uses 2.0T and 3.0T engines. The 2.0T engine can be adjusted according to different adjustments, with a maximum power range from 156 horsepower to 245 horsepower. The 3.0T inline six-cylinder engine has a maximum power of 374 horsepower. In addition, the 48V motor can also provide an additional 11 horsepower maximum power. The transmission system is still matched with an 8-speed manual transmission, and rear-drive and four-wheel drive versions are available. The plug-in hybrid version uses a combination of 2.0T engine and motor, with a total system output of 292 horsepower. In addition, it is also equipped with a larger capacity 19.5kWh battery pack, which also increases its WLTP maximum pure electric range to 101km (96km for the four-wheel drive version).
