According to reports, the BLU-109 ground-penetrating bomb can penetrate concrete bunkers, which was used by the US military in the war in Afghanistan. Analysts pointed out that Hamas uses a huge network of tunnels in the Gaza, and the Israelis may attack these tunnels with earth-boring bombs.
