game
Paralympics sitting volleyball is a team event, which basically follows the rules of perfect volleyball, but there are some special provisions. The six players on each team must sit on the court to play the game. During the game, the defender can directly intercept the serve. There are also some special regulations about hips off the ground. During the competition, athletes’ hips must keep in contact with the ground, and they are not allowed to stand and walk. When serving, hitting, blocking and attacking shots, their hips are not allowed to lift off the ground. Defenders can lift off for a short time when saving a ball that is far away. As long as it does not interfere with the opponent’s game, the legs or feet of the players are allowed to cross the center line, but they should be taken back to the field immediately.
Before the start of the sitting volleyball competition, the athletes will enter the stadium collectively and salute the audience, which is a sign of respect for the audience, and the audience should also respond to the athletes with warm applause.
