  CCTV News:At 1 pm on February 25th, 2017, the Chengdong Police Station of Jingjiang Public Security Bureau in Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province received an alarm from a residential property, and Yangyang, the nine-year-old son of the owner Xiaoye, was missing. Later, Yangyang’s mother received a short message saying that the child had been kidnapped, and asked her to prepare 2 million yuan in cash, which she would pay in hand at Wuxi Railway Station. Jingjiang police quickly organized police to go to Wuxi to cooperate with the local police and investigate around the railway station. At five o’clock the next morning, the police received news that Yangyang’s family found the child’s body under the bed.

  The police quickly arrived.   Police investigation found that Gao and Yangyang’s mother used to be lovers, and their suspicion of committing crimes further increased. Soon, the police found a payment bill of Gao on a website, and he bought electric batons online. Jingjiang police immediately organized police to arrest Gao.

  During the trial, Gao reacted calmly, and he denied the killing of Yangyang. After the police showed the gloves with traces of Yangyang and Gao, which were extracted from the flower bed, and a suspicious footprint found under Yangyang’s bed, Gao was finally broken through the psychological defense line and confessed the criminal facts.

  The suspect Gao, aged 35 (2019), is the head of a department in a large local shipyard. Because of the disagreement between husband and wife, they are addicted to online chat. At the beginning of 2012, he got to know Yangyang’s mother Xiaomei through the Internet, which gradually developed into an extramarital affair. At the end of 2016, Xiaomei came up with the idea of returning to her family and began to neglect Gao. During the Spring Festival of 2017, Gao met several times. As a result, Xiaomei only hurried to take a photo and went home, which made Gao very angry. Gao had the idea of making Xiaomei sad by retaliating against her child Yangyang. Although Gao claimed to like Yangyang, the idea of revenge on Yangyang’s mother Xiaomei made him lose his mind.

  Defendant Gao said: "I used to watch the mobile phone network video, and I fainted when I saw the electric shock. After a while, I will be fine. Hide the child first, don’t let her find it, and let her be afraid when the child is lost. "

  In order to ensure the success of the crime, Gao made careful preparation and planning. During January 2017, Gao visited Yangyang’s home several times. At the same time, he also modified the electric batons himself. Fearing that electric shock would cause automatic protection of the circuit, he also sneaked into Yangyang’s house with a stolen key, and reformed the socket line of Yangyang’s house to avoid the safety protection device. At 8 o’clock on February 25, 2017, Gao wore a wig, hat, mask, etc., and then sneaked into Yangyang’s home. After Yangyang took the courier home, he put a knife rest around his neck and pushed Yangyang to the bedroom. Gao used a prepared electric baton to shock the child’s neck, back of the head and other parts many times, but instead of corona Yangyang, it aroused the child’s resistance. Seeing that things were out of control, and worried that Yangyang would identify himself after the incident, the consequences would be unimaginable, so Gao made a malicious move. Gao tied Yangyang’s hands behind his back and wrapped tape around his nose and mouth until he watched the child lose his breath. Later, Gao opened the bed in the bedroom, hid Yangyang under the bed and fled the scene.

  Although Gao repeatedly said that his behavior was out of control, when he fled the scene, he was unusually calm and carefully wiped the blood and footprints on the scene, and then destroyed some tools for committing crimes. When Xiaomei’s family was looking for Yangyang everywhere, Gao also called and pretended to be kind to appease Xiaomei, trying to find out the news. When he learned that the police were looking for people all over the city, Gao used kidnapping text messages to try to divert the police’s attention and interfere with the police’s investigation.

  On July 28, 2017, the People’s Procuratorate of Taizhou City, Jiangsu Province filed a public prosecution with the Taizhou Intermediate People’s Court for the defendant Gao’s intentional homicide. Taizhou Intermediate People’s Court formed a collegiate bench according to law and heard the case in public on September 5, 2017. During the trial, the defendant Gao denied the confession in the public security organ and proposed to make a mental appraisal.
