Xiaomi SU7 went through a severe winter test: the whole vehicle was frozen for more than 24 hours to test the charging performance.

Fast Technology reported on February 8 that Xiaomi founder Lei Jun shared the winter test video of Xiaomi SU7 in Heihe River. In the cold Heihe River, Xiaomi SU7 experienced severe tests again and again.

According to Xiaomi’s engineer, in order to test the charging performance of Xiaomi SU7 in low temperature scene, the engineer put Xiaomi SU7 outdoors for more than 24 hours.

At the same time, the thermal management of Xiaomi SU7 continues to be polished and upgraded, and the maximum heating power given to the battery can reach 18kW in extreme cold, which is twice the industry average.

More importantly, Xiaomi SU7 has the unique technology of "millet high-efficiency dual-mode heat pump" in the industry. This innovative technology integrates the step-by-step heating mechanism of three heat sources, and realizes the optimal temperature control management of the interior temperature and battery pack by efficiently recovering and converting the environmental heat, the afterheat of the driving system and the energy generated by the battery itself.

With this technology, Xiaomi SU7 can effectively resist the influence of low temperature environment on battery efficiency. Under the extreme conditions of MINUS 30 degrees Celsius, the vehicle can still maintain a high cruising range retention rate, which solves the core problem of the sudden drop of electric vehicle endurance in winter.

In addition, the efficient thermal management system also enables Xiaomi SU7 to achieve a faster charging speed in a low temperature environment, further enhancing the user’s car experience in cold seasons.

In this way, whether it is the snow and ice in the north or the wet and cold weather in the south, Xiaomi SU7 can easily cope with it and truly bring electric vehicles into a new era suitable for all seasons.
